Why we all Need to Stop Fucking Around

We need radical change

Have you ever considered the possibility that the reason we can’t find any let alone sentient lifeforms on any other planet bar our own is because we are the only ones there (not in the entirety of the universe since its most likely infinite but within any comprehendible distance) and We are not the only ones there because we are special but because we are the only ones left and everyone else has already completely destroyed their own atmospheres just as we are doing now through an abundance of greed and personal gain and ignorance for the wellbeing of their ecosystems? Yes? No? Doesn’t matter. The point is the earth is getting gangbanged by the human race, instigated by few but carried out by the rest of us. We can be aware of this and then try a little harder to recycle and that. some of us that can afford it can invest in solar panels and some of us can go vegan etc. but gradual change can’t be enough because there are people benefiting from the destruction of our planet and are going to continue to do so while they lie in the dark grooming their scales and the rest of us are going to enjoy our small ecological victories while they do so. We don’t just need change, we need radical change, we need it to be dramatic, we need it to be aggressive and we need it immediately and yes I’m looking at the man in the mirror too and I’m asking him to make a change, I’m inevitably going to have to change radically myself before I can expect it of the world but you know the earth is dying and that so we all got start helping the fuckin thing instead of slowly watching it die. How fucking insensitive are we? it’s not TV, were not distanced from this, we are standing on it for fucks sake. It’s time to make a change for once in or lives, it’s gonna feel real good, gonna make a difference, gonna make it right. Things we might have to do could be to localize business, localize farming and abstain from supporting all the humongous reptilian run companies which I find super fucking hard I mean the amount of snickers I’ve had whilst mindfully acknowledging they are just a physical embodiment of the sweet, sweet taste of slavery to corporate power.  Every snickers I eat, slowly eats away at my freedom and contributes to the destruction of my planet but god they are bloody tasty, fuck it we keep snickers but the all the other corporate industries have to go. Then we may have to overthrow our government(s). That or we make them agree to a bunch of shit they most likely wouldn’t agree to unless they were held hostile such as taxing the rich far more than the poor and a bunch of other shit. There are alternatives to the system we are in. and I don’t care if the system benefits you and you think it’s the best possible option, it’s just not and if you think this way I’m positive you’ve developed a form of Stockholm syndrome.

“Oh but capitalism treats me well, he gives me all these nice things”

“There’s more to life out there can’t you see that? Capitalism is abusing you”

“You don’t know capitalism like I do, he’s a sweet guy at the bottom of his heart”

“He’s a monster, Sherice”

Capitalism is probably gonna have to go in the bin. She had a good run. We probably can’t abolish it tomorrow though. In a true democracy everyone would be represented equally and that means that what I’m proposing may not be the popular vote in fact I’m sure it won’t so what do we do? We start working towards it, you and me have to focus on ourselves, people want to change the world but not themselves, that’s where we go wrong, we want to play out the role of the hero but that’s not what we need, we may have some representatives but we need most importantly a community with systems in place to stop any one person’s ego being represented and instead the true will of the people whatever that may be.  So many revolutions end up back at square one because few people put themselves above the rest and therefore once again corrupt the system for their own personal gain. that’s why if we have a revolution our priority must be that our hearts are in the right place. This is why working on yourself is so important. Focus on you, change yourself and when you are comfortable with yourself then you can start branching out. Everyone must first and foremost be responsible for their own change before national and global change is possible. We need to take our power back as people, you, me, everyone and to do that we need some self reflection, enough self reflection that we can truly realize the power we all have. We pay the politicians salaries but yet they tell us what to do and not vice versa, shits gotta change. Although the priority is the conservation of the environment the bulk of the change is going to have to be economic and political (and possibly spiritual but ill get to that another day). alright I’m done with this rant. Viva la resistance mother fuckers

Here’s Woody Harrelson with the rest. Over to you Woody

Disclaimer: When I say “have to” as I have seven times in this post, I’m not telling you what to do. You don’t have to do anything, you can do whatever you want but I mean is in order to prevent Armageddon in my opinion we would hypothetically have to… etc.
